The Trip (2010) takes two comedians to a journey of wonderful tastes, smart jokes and amazing landscapes.
Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon travels through the Northen English countryside, stopping by in luxurious restaurans and fancy hotels.
The film is a compilation of crafted food porn shots – from appetizers and teasers to main dishes and deserts which names is near to impossible to pronounce.
The Trip also feeds the urging need of witty banters, ones we occasionally have with our really good mates and siblings. The dialog, with range of imitations, pokes and confessions, is so intense, that one falls into illusion of actually sitting and dining with the actors. It’s a type of movies that one is left longing for – missing it in a way of missing good evenings with the best friends.
PS. Inspired by the film, our blogger team of two composed a lunch compilation of our own. Not as fancy but definitely. Conclusion of the Pöff-season: proper lunches with creative chats are the best way to boosts the day.
